Hooray !!!

Well so far this week it's been a week of hoorays !!

The Internet

For those who know me, I am totally addicted to the Internet. There isn't a day when I'm not on it for some reason or another. However Tuesday the 22nd of April turned out to a dark day: the day the internet died.

Switched the computer on, normal everyday thing, but there it was staring back at me, a little bubble in the bottom right hand corner:

Wireless connection cannot be found

With that menacing little bubble I came to the conclusion that it must be my fault and after several hours of fiddling with the computer, I gave up and rang BT!

Oh the joys of BT !! I really enjoyed our conversation. To begin with a woman with a really strong Indian accent answered the phone - great start - then she began to say things like:

Check the Internet is plugged in, check your computer is turned on!

What kind of retard is gonna have their computer switched off !!! Duh !!

Anyway, after that wonderful conversation, we came to the conclusion that BT itself was to blame and I switched the computer off. I was not amused.

Then a whole 7 days later, the Internet comes back and thus here I am, pleasing my few loyal readers ^^

At The Doctors

For the best part of 4 years I have had a dodgy throat of some degree. Every time I go to the doctors there's nothing wrong with me. In fact last time I went complaining about my throat, I came back with something to unblock my nose! and the doctors we have, I swear the one was sitting on a cushion and the other had a face like a slapped ass !!

However, today there was a minor victory. After waiting the best part of 20 minutes for my appointment, good old NHS!, I got in and spoke to a lady that looked frighteningly similar to Cruella de'ville. She actually acknowleged that there was a problem and, you'll never guess, she actually prescribed me something.

Apparently I have an overactive mucus gland which is screwing my throat, nose and ears up ( and I thought my ears were ok !!) So she's put me on this spray stuff and if that doesn't work, ENT clinic here I come !!

And then my final hooray!: I have an interview for St David's.

After waiting an absolute age for an interview, I recived a letter on Saturday saying that I have one on Wednesday. Not much notice admitedly, but at least I know when I'm going. I'm a little nervous but will try and impress as much as I can without seeming like: a) an ass licker, or b) a little show-off-know-it-all- super-brat.

Well I can only be myself ^^

Yes, I know, I rock !!

Elliot Minor were ace !!!!

Elliot Minor - I saw them !!

For my birthday my friend Blake decided to buy us tickets to see Elliot Minor at Cardiff Uni. After waiting a long time for tickets, then realising that you had to show them an email and claim them there, Friday 11th April finally arrived !!!

At 7pm we arrived at the venue, the Solus Nightclub, only to realise that there was a huge que outside! No I mean huge, it was right down the street. So we joined the end and slowly but surely we got closer to getting in!

Then as we approached the doors, we realised that we were in the wrong line. We had ordered our tickets online and didn't actually have them we had to get them there. So we casually ducked under the barrier and carried on like nothing had happened!!

Furthest Drive Home

By the time we actually got in there the first warm up band was already on, Furthest Drive Home. So we immediatly joined in at the side. No long after we got there, we were joined by Leanne, Tom, Rosie and Jade.

We had a perfect view of the bassist from where we were and I couldn't help but realise how much he looked like a friend of mine, another Tom !!

The Higher

Next an American band, The Higher came on. Oooo !! American accents annoy me !! "How y'all doing?" Do you mean to sound like a redneck or does it just come naturally!! Anyway all in all the sang pretty well. They sang a song about ice cream !! For me that's a winner XD

Then there was a 30 minute break, in which we went outside and attacked the bands and made them have their photos taken !! Oh ! and Tom got his shoe signed !! Then after having a group drool over the various singers we decided to go back in before Elliot Minor started.

As we went through the doors, I couldn't help but notice the size of the amps !! It was HUGE !

Anyway, we regrouped over the opposite side ready for the main event. Woop !!! They finally came on and the show got on the road !!

They were ace !! The crowd was quite slow to start but when it did !! We were up and bopping like the best of them!!

Yeah, that chinese one !!

We were positioned in plain sight of the chinese one. Yeah, I'm no good with names, never have been!! We were watching him for most of it. In all fairness to them they are really good live! Some bands are good when recorded but live they suck, but the chinese one and the main singer, wow I am really bad with names !!, we both really good, and the main one said he had a throat infection !! I would never have guessed !

So after a good night of hardcore raving - XD - we made our way out, unfortunatly into the pouring rain but hey it didn't matter. Our ears were ringing and in my book that's the sign of a good concert !!
